Immunisation is the process of becoming immune to a disease as a result of a vaccine. Vaccination is when you receive a vaccine.

We provide vaccines for babies, children and adolescents who may choose not to participate in the school-based programmes, in accordance with the Australian National Immunisation Program (NIP). These vaccines are supplied free of charge and the consultation is generally bulk billed for children under 16 years of age.

The vaccines you may require as an adult may vary greatly, depending on your age, stage of life, travel plans and immunisation history.

You will need a script from our GP for non-funded vaccines so that they can then be purchased from a pharmacy. You will then need to return to the practice for your vaccination with the treatment room nurse (same day as your saw your GP).

Please contact Reception to book for a vaccination (Do not book online)

What to expect when you have a vaccine

  • You will be booked for an appointment with both your GP for consultation followed by vaccination with a treatment room nurse
  • We do ask that you remain in the clinic for 15 minutes after your vaccines to monitor for any adverse reactions
  • Your vaccination history can be uploaded to your My Health Record or provided to you as a handout
